An Important Message From Rachel Simpson

As you will be aware, further to the Government’s most recent advice businesses across the world have been closing in huge numbers as we all stay home to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Last week we started working from home, with two members of the team going in on a rotational basis to dispatch orders. Today we have made the decision to close completely for the safety of both our team and the wider community.

The decision itself isn’t difficult- we must all stay home right now for the sake of our NHS, our communities and the bigger picture. The only thing we now won’t be able to do is dispatch your orders, but we are all still here and as ever you can talk to us via social media, and on email or phone. We can’t send anything out as our warehouse is closed, but we can help you choose and plan for your special day when life returns to happier times.

As for so many people, this is one of the most challenging times I’ve experienced with my business. But painful as it is temporarily closing the doors on the business and sending the team home, this is nothing compared to the wider public health implications of remaining open. At this time we have to look beyond our own businesses and work together for the greater good.

Over the past twelve years, I’ve always tried to be honest with our customers and suppliers and right now I think that’s more important than ever. Most of the time I can keep the positivity going, but with worries about loved ones and the business, sometimes the tears do get the better of me. So if you see me on social media being silly, or overly positive it’s done with the best intentions, to hopefully make you smile in these difficult times.

I think the main thing I want to say is that we’re here. Things are different right now, and they’re challenging but we’re here, and we’ll be here when this all subsides. We’re lucky enough to work in an industry of happiness, where we can share in the joy and excitement of people’s weddings and special occasions. Now more than ever we need something to look forward to, so whilst we’ve physically closed our doors for a bit we’re still here to share in that excitement and help you in any way we can.

Let’s keep talking and together we’ll get through this.

With much love to you and yours,

Rachel xx
