Bridal Hair Accessories- which style is for you?

Whilst shoes are our first love, we are lucky enough to work with an incredible accessory company called Laurel Lime, who design and make all our hair accessories, trims and shoe clips exclusively for us. It can be tricky knowing how to accessorise your hair for the big day, so we've put together a short guide to those in the Rachel Simpson Collection.
Hairvines have been around for a few years now, and for a while became the new tiara for trend savvy brides. Essentially they have all the elements of a tiara, but with a more fluid and flexible shape; rather than being on a structured hairband type base, hairvines are usually made on a flexible wired base which allows you to shape them to the hairstyle you want. You can wear them across the front of the hairline, as shown on our Daisy Hairvine; around the back of a low up do, as seen with our Odette Gold Pearl Hairvine; or drape them on one side of the head as shown with the Odette Silver Pearl Hairvine. However you wear it, hairvines give a beautiful soft, unstructured look.
If you are looking for something a little more simple, consider a set of delicate hairpins. Most of ours come in a set of three, so you can place single pins into the hair individually, as shown with the Star Hairpins, or cluster them together for a more dramatic look, as we've done using the Petal Hairpins. You can even group more than one set together to create a really statement look.
There is something beautifully chic about an understated comb, placed simply in the hair, adding a really elegant finishing touch. Sometimes you don't want too much in the hair- perhaps if you've got a more embellished dress, or a pair of statement earrings. In these cases it's best to keep your hair accessories simple so they compliment this, rather than detract. Less is more as they say. Add a comb in the centre of a classic up do, as shown with our Sparkle Comb, or to one side for an elegant asymmetric look- shown here with our Deco and Mimosa Combs.
Last but not least, this year we introduced the stunning Amalia Crown, inspired by the Royal Wedding of Harry and Meghan. It's a modern take on a bridal classic, guaranteed to make you feel every bit the princess on your big day.
All our bridal hair accessories are designed exclusively for us by award winning Laurel Lime, and individually made by hand to create something truly unique to treasure long after the wedding.
