Today's the day and I am over the moon thrilled to unveil our brand new Spring Summer collection. It's one I'm particularly proud of as I think it sees a welcome return to our unique signature style. We are well known for our elegant vintage inspired handwriting, and I think the new collection really encapsulates my 1930's influence with beautiful scalloped detailing and art deco motifs.

I was hugely inspired by a trip to Paris last year- a city dripping in art deco detail! This has really given the collection a distinctly glamorous edge, with an air of ‘grown up’ vintage which definitely gives it a little more of a 1930's vibe than 1920's.

There are eight new shoes in the collection, and each one feel like a work of art (it certainly took a while to get them down on paper this season)! I've combined our unique intricate patterns with the perfect materials, to create stunning looking shoes which, as ever, don't compromise on our unrivalled comfort.

Soft coloured suede pieces are edged with metallic gold to create an iconic art deco shell pattern, a recurring theme throughout the collection. In addition to the brand’s signature colour palette, we've also introduced a stunning new dusky blue to the collection which I love. I was actually the first person to wear this gorgeous new colour at my wedding last year (click here if you missed it)!

Bringing an elegant bridal twist to the popular block heel trend, the new collection also sees the introduction of some new, wider heel shapes. These manage both to retain the elegant Rachel Simpson style whilst offering an alternative option to the classic skinny heel, for brides who prefer a little more support.

We were super lucky to work with our friend Emma Case on the new Spring Summer campaign. We wanted to go for something a bit streamlined and perhaps more stylised than usual, so we shot it in a studio with hair and make up by fellow Birmingham based business Nicola Honey- all modelled beautifully by Laura B who was an absolute pleasure to work with! It was definitely a happy, joyful look we were after, and with Laura's hilarious sense of humour she captured this perfectly!

There are four new bags too which complement the new shoes perfectly, and to be honest I struggle to choose a favourite! People sometimes wonder why we do bags as they wouldn't use one for the wedding. Our answer is simple- 99% of our brides wear their shoes again many times after the big day and well, you need that matching bag for that right?

I hope you like the new collection. It's always nerve wracking launching something you've worked really hard on, so I'd love to know what you think. Drop me a comment below or message us on social- we'll be introducing you to all the new styles over the next couple of weeks so stayed tuned for that.
