Key Trends from Barcelona Bridal Week
Posted on May 13 2019

Every year Barcelona Bridal week wow buyers and stores from around the world, and this year is did not disappoint. With a jungle theme running through out the show the tall palms and trees bought the outside in and the elegant deco made everyone feel like a VIP.
We're giving you a run down of the 2020 Bridal trends coming through at this years biggest bridal event.
Colour
Colour makes a bold statement this year, for the past few years colourful dresses have been creeping onto the catwalk and this year colour was a main feature trend. Being bright and bold this trend isn't for everyone and is very non-traditional however if you have the confidence and swag to carry it off it is quite sensational.
Randy Fenoli is known for his princess dresses and this pink beauty is no exception, with singular petals stitched sporadically it gives the effect of fallen cherry blossom, pretty and feminine.
The Atelier take blue hue dresses take the 'something blue' quite literally. The soft grey blue colour are complimented with ivory and white creating an ethereal mix for their gowns. My personal favourite is the ombre dress, a catwalk trend I absolutely love! The illusional neck line heavily beaded and all over sparkle creates a fantasy forest like dress, perfect for the theme of the show. Oh and did we mention the creative director is Jimmy Choo..does that make us bias..maybe a little..
Feathers
In keeping with the ethereal and enchanted vibe this year feathers were a statement piece on the Autumn catwalk. From collars to sleeves to capes feathers were an added accessory to ensure these new gowns cant be missed.
The use of feathers on the sleeves of this gown gives a somewhat superhero vibe.
The feathers are tactically placed on this dress, paired with flares to give a statement look.
The feather collar on this cape steps the outfit up a notch- it's detachable which dramatically changes the look from day to evening.
This sweet gown using the feathers solely around the sleeves to give a nod to the trend without completely over powering the beadwork.
Pronovias
As usual, the world renown catwalk show was bigger and better than ever. Pronovias bring a whole trends of their own and statement sleeves are top of the list. The Spanish brand is arguable the most iconic bridal brand in the world- and for good reason, the over the top glamorous catwalk stuns the audience every years. Here are our fave looks..
Striking sheer embellished gown with statement shoulder detailing.
Over the top puff sleeves for a sexy 1920's showgirl look.
Long sleeves attached to this chic jumpsuit gives a sophisticated modern take on bridalwear.
This low cut silk fitted dress with puff sleeves is a fabulous nod to fifties glamour.
Piesta de resistance the most incredible gown with the most incredible atmosphere, the beautiful gown makes the model look like she is floating down the runway. The layered tulle and feathers create a full bodied impressive wedding dress, not sure if it would be practical for your first dance though..
There's our round up of our favourite looks from this years show, we cant to see the gowns transition onto real brides. Barcelona is also such a glamorous and magical show, we can't wait for next year!
