Looking for High Heel Wedding Shoes?
Posted on May 16 2020

Here at Rachel Simpson we’re probably most known for our mid and low heeled wedding shoes. But whilst we don’t do many which people would class as high heeled wedding shoes, we do have a selection which are above the average three inch height.
So many people think that high heels are uncomfortable, but I’m pretty passionate that it’s not necessarily the heel height which causes the discomfort, more the way it’s made and what it’s made from. News flash- high heels can be comfortable! That’s not to say they’re for everyone and I know lots of people who never wear high heels and that’s okay. But in a world where laid back rules and we all wear sneakers to work let’s not forget the glamour of a good old heel huh?
At Rachel Simpson we class anything with an 8.5cm heel or more as a high heel, and in fact 9cm is actually the highest we go at the moment! Of course for many people this isn’t actually that high, so we’ve also included a few of our wishlist high heels for the purposes of today’s blog.
If you’re after a touch of glam, with an old school Hollywood vibe look no further than our gold Gigi heels (pictured above). The snakeskin effect give the shoe a cool vintage vibe, with classic scalloped panels all adding to the effect.
Next up is Aurelia who was new to the collection this year. Inspired by Art Deco Paris, she has more than a bit of va-va-voom, whilst remaining super pretty and romantic at the same time.
Lastly is our ever popular Ophelia peep-toe heels, and it has to be the stunning mix of metallics which really makes her stand out. Gold, rose gold and silver are all set against soft blush ivory suede and the result is a soft but strong statement.
If I had to go higher, I’d pick a classic court on a statement stiletto a la Meghan on her wedding day, like this stunning off-white court from Gianvito Rossi:
Or I'd go glam with these gorgeous Clarita gold knot front sandals by Alexandre Birman...
I think if you have height you can keep the design understated. Mind you, did somebody say knotted rose gold leather? Ah yes, that'll be the Portia sandal from Gianvito Rossi, bestill my beating heart... ;)
So what do you think- would you like to see more Rachel Simpson high heels? How high would you go, I’d love to know? In the meantime click here to check out our current high heel wedding shoes :)
Love,
Rachel x
