Ben and I met about 5 years ago in London at a gig of a mutual friend. It took me a while to cotton on that he liked me but his persistence paid off and we’ve been together ever since.
Next up, the wedding- tell all!
We got married on August 25th 2018 at Homme House in Herefordshire (we’re both the Midlands originally). If you’re looking for a beautiful country wedding venue in the Midlands be sure to check them out. The venue is family owned and run by a lovely couple (Charlie and Sarah) who care so much about each every couple booked at their venue and making sure the day runs perfectly.
What was your most memorable wedding moment?
The whole day was so so special, the sun shone (we got married outside in a beautiful walled garden) and most of our nearest and dearest were there to share it with us.
What would be your top tip for wedding planning?
Be prepared for the unexpected, things will come up that you didn't plan for and some things that will be out of your control. Just have sight on what really matters.
Tell us all about your dress?
My wedding gown was a tea length dress from True Bride’s 'Brighton Belle' range (style ‘Polly’). I wanted something that I could dance in and didn't require too much faffing to get into. I loved the fit and because of the length I had to get great shoes as they would be on full show.
Which of our Rachel Simpson shoes or accessories did you wear?
I wore Amalia mint suede t-bars (bought via Lace & Favour) with Coco mint suede clutch. I have very slim feet so the t-bars worked really well as the complimented a vintage style dress, stayed on my feet, didn't rub and I was very happy to support a n independent business based near to where I’m from. The colour stood out nicely and I got a lot of compliments. I wore them for 15 hours non-stop! Such a dream!!!
