The (Virtual) Ladies Day Edit- what shoes to wear for a day at the races
Posted on April 09 2020

Last Saturday saw a bit of an unusual event in the UK's racing calendar, when Aintree's most famous race was computer simulated to create the very first Virtual Grand National! The organisers used CGI technology and incredibly clever algorithms to enable forty runners who would probably have been the Aintree line up to take part.
Not only was it a fantastic alternative which allowed race goers to still enjoy this iconic event, but the event was also put on to raise money for an incredibly good cause, and raised a huge £2.6million for NHS Charities Together.
The race was won but 18-1 shot Potters Corner, with Walk In The Mill (16-1) second and Any Second Now (10-1) in third place.
But let's not pretend we're here to just discuss the racing...one of our favourite things about any race day is, of course, the outfits! We were very pleased to see that just because people were staying at home this year it didn't stop them getting dressed up to the nines for the occasion!
So today we've taken our inspiration from three of our favourite looks from last weekend and teamed them with the RS shoes and bags we'd have loved to see with them!

We love Chantelle Day's floor length navy floral maxi-dress and celestial gold star headband, and would pair with a pair of our gorgeous Giselle rose gold strappy heels. And high fives for the strong eye here too- just because we can't leave the house doesn't mean we can't make an effort!

Thanks for the inspiration ladies- it's getting us excited about all the upcoming events we can get dressed up for, lock down or not!
Love,
Rachel x
