Which wedding style are you?
Posted on January 26 2021

With so many different wedding styles to choose from, it can be a little overwhelming when you first start wedding planning. You might think you know exactly which style you want, or you might not have a clue where to start- either way, it's absolutely okay.
Part of the joy of getting married is planning the wedding, so the first thing is not to panic. There are so many sources of inspiration from wedding magazines, to bridal blogs, the magical but vast Pinterest to the never ending inspo of Instagram! Fear not, we're here to help.
A good place to start are the practical aspects of your wedding, ie where and when you're getting married. For example if you love the style of a beach wedding but are getting married in London in the middle of January, this may not be practical! But you can still take some of the aspects you like, and adapt them to suit.
Once you've considered the location and time of year, next think of any aspects which you both love- for example if you love a particular colour or theme, or if you agree on the kind of wedding you want to go for. It might be a formal white wedding, or a more laid back boho inspired wedding.
As ever the main thing is that your wedding is you, that it reflects you both as a couple. Today we show you four different wedding styles to inspire you and get you started.
Traditional
We love a traditional styled wedding. Think classically elegant dress, a romantic bouquet of roses with sprigs of natural foliage, a towering tiered cake and a sweeping veil. Our shoe choice for a traditional wedding would of course be the iconic Mimosa or perhaps Gardenia- both in classic ivory with timeless silver detail.

Destination
Whilst plans for a this one might be on pause until travel is a little easier, another style we love is a destination wedding. The perfect wedding for couples who like the appeal of getting married in a faraway place this is perfect- blue skies, bright sunshine, a handful of your nearest and dearest or perhaps just your partner by your side. Think floating tulle or fitted lace, naturally curled hair, all finished with warm golden accessories. Glamorous flat wedding shoes are the perfect choice for a destination wedding, whether the metallic gold Luna, or Mimosa-inspired Eden.

City
There is something super stylish about a city wedding, and with more people now needing to have a micro wedding it's an increasingly popular option. Style is chic and stylish- a mix of classic bridal and modern day fashion. Think clean lines with a modern cut, beautiful fabrics and understated yet lux detailing. This style is perfect for bold accessories such as a bejewelled drop earring or stylised compact bouquet. Go for a metallic heel which can take you from day to night such as Gigi in gold, or a classic wedding shoe with a metallic twist, like Cecelia.

Country
With boho vibes and a soft, laid back feel we also love a country inspired wedding. It's the perfect theme to bring in gorgeous vintage touches such as tea lights in jam jars, dripping fairy lights and soft, pastel coloured flowers with natural foliage. You can have some real fun with shoes and bring in a colour such as the rich and sumptuous Mimosa berry, or soft, romantic Rosita in blush pink.
